Carpenter/Remodeling Expert

Our carpenter position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with new challenges every day! From complete kitchen and bath remodels to porches, sunrooms, basements and room additions, our discerning clientele count on our carpenters’ high level of expertise. Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on residential remodeling experience.
  • Kitchen and bath experience required.
  • Tile experience preferred.
  • Ability to do plumbing & light electrical.
  • Excellent blueprint reading and communication skills.
  • Complete understanding of the materials & installation aspects of kitchen/bath remodeling.

Project Manager| Residential Design & Construction

OPPORTUNITY:
With an eye toward customer service, Project Managers oversee building projects and maximize project revenue by effectively scheduling subcontractors, material suppliers, and in-house laborers to ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and achieved with client satisfaction. Use your thorough understanding of the construction industry, along with your keen sense of business and account management to positively impact repeat business. Enjoy good life/work balance as there is no out-of-town travel.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage oversight of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and timeline requirements
  • Conduct regular job-site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards
  • Establish and maintain communication with clients, providing detailed updates regularly
  • Coordinate with internal team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Oversee procurement of materials, services, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery
  • Review project elements to develop strategy for completion on schedule and on budget
  • Manage project financials, including cost projections and invoicing
  • Assist the Worthington design/sales team by providing pricing and estimating assistance and construction advice as needed
  • Efficiently handle the office side of the role, excelling with following processes, organization, and document management
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork
  • Job success will be measured by gross profit of closed jobs (on budget), ability to close jobs on time (on schedule), and client happiness.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • 2+ years of project management experience preferred.
  • Residential design or residential construction industry experience preferred, yet open to Project Managers from event management or other heavy project management-based industries.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree required, preferably in residential design, construction management or project management.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of residential construction is desired.
  • Customer service mindset with ability to effectively communicate with customers throughout their project.
  • Computer skills required with MS Excel, Word, Outlook.  Job costing software experience helpful. Buildertrend is our construction management software.
  • Process and detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Results-oriented with a problem-solving mentality.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Worthington Design & Remodeling will reward your project management talents with a competitive compensation package of $75-90K. Your comprehensive benefit package which includes health, vision, life, company vehicle, 401(k) with company match, job performance bonuses and paid vacation & holidays. Our office is conveniently located in the north suburbs of Indianapolis.
