This home’s kitchen had great bones, but the curved island configuration and impractical desk obstructed the room’s natural flow, necessitating a makeover to improve form and function.
The Concept
After relocating their growing family from Florida to Carmel, the homeowners’ vision was to create an outdoor space that could be enjoyed year-round. With the help of computer generated designs, the homeowners decided to switch out the old deck for a brand new covered patio complete with all of the bells and whistles.
Cohesive Construction
After the original deck was removed and the new stamped concrete patio was complete, 6″x 6″ columns and structural beams were installed to support the new roof. To give the porch a cohesive look with the rest of the house, all of the cedar trim was painted to match the existing trim and matching fiberglass shingles were installed on the roof of the porch.
