The homeowners wanted to convert a small deck into an updated screened-in porch. They hoped the exterior remodel would give them more room to enjoy the outdoors, but also wanted to update the color and design of the area and make it more versatile so it could be enjoyed year-round.
A Fresh Start
The new porch extends further than the previous deck to give the homeowners plenty of room to host company and enjoy the space. It also provides an outdoor area that’s shaded and comfortable – the height of the new vaulted ceiling is emphasized with brightly painted wood paneling.
Updated Exterior
In addition to the design updates, the exterior steps were relocated to the opposite side, providing closer access to the rest of the backyard. New landscaping and an updated stone pathway finish off the exterior remodel.
