The main concept was to convert a screened-in-porch to a four season room to create more gathering space off the kitchen. The homeowners also wanted to add a fireplace to resemble a fireplace in their previous family home.
Dream To Reality
After the completion of the structural prep work, framing was installed and the masonry for the fireplace and brick base was completed. To ensure the sunroom addition stays warm during the colder months, spray foam insulation was added to the ceiling, walls and floor.
Material Selections
A coffered ceiling was included in the design to add extra character and dimension to the room. New brick and siding was installed to match the existing. The homeowners wanted the interior of this sunroom addition to be crisp white to set the tone for their new colorful furnishings.
