Photo Review: CaseIndy Bathroom Remodels of 2012

2012 was the year of the Master Bath Remodel. Our designers had so much fun helping our clients bring into their homes the new trends in bath design, from magnificent showers and closets, to free-standing tubs and luxurious finishes. Check out these gorgeous master baths in the Indianapolis area we had the honor of remodeling.

Many of our clients travel to luxurious destinations, and want to bring those experiences into their daily lives. This slate tiled shower with the pebble floor was inspired by a hotel stay especially enjoyed by the homeowners.

Here is another take on a walk-in shower, open and airy, yet not fully exposed. By removing the garden tub, we were able to create an expansive shower yet still have room for a free-standing tub.

Recreating the spa experience in your own home is a growing trend in Indianapolis area bathroom remodels.  This granite bench area, located at one end of a large, walk-in shower, provides a beautiful landing place for warm towels and fluffy robes.

The huge garden tubs of the 80s and 90s are being replaced with stunning free-standing tubs. Like pieces of art, these fixtures add a touch of elegance to a master bathroom.

Floor tile is more than 12 x 12 squares these days. In this master bathroom remodel, we used this gorgeous design to create a rug-like look, accentuating the free-standing tub area.

Shower niches are standard in bathroom remodels, and are an opportunity to add a bit of fun without breaking the budget. Adding glass tile to the back of this shower niche brings a punch to the white subway tile.

“Oh yes” was all one could say when walking into this closet located off the master bathroom. Taking advantage of the storage options offered by the vaulted ceiling by adding a library ladder, makes this space a glorious experience every day.

In all of our remodeling projects, marrying efficient use of space with high-style is always a goal. In this master bath remodel, adding a wall of tall custom cabinetry gave the homeowners the storage they needed without them having to find a piece of furniture to fit this awkward space.

High-end finishes are no longer just for the public spaces in a home. We begin and end our days in our master bathrooms. Why not make it a place that caters to your enjoyment?

Universal design, which is based on creating spaces that all people are able to use, is an emerging trend here in Indy. As you can see here, wheelchair-friendly showers no longer have to look like a hospital bathroom.

We designed master bathrooms around varying styles in 2012, ranging from the more traditional…

…to the European-inspired modern look. Both brought in great use-of-space, high quality materials and unique design elements.

Transforming master bathrooms into beautiful and functional spaces for every day has been a pleasure. Do you have a favorite design from this year? We’d love to know which ones inspire you.
